About

About this blog

The WorkKitly Blog is the reading site of the WorkKitly family: essays, notes and launch posts for freelancers and solo businesses. The main site holds the tools and the tested guides; WorkKitly Write holds the writing tools; this blog is the voice that connects them.

What gets published here

Posts live on five shelves. WorkKitly Notes are written when something ships, changes or gets fixed. Writing carries essays on the craft of posts and content. Getting Paid argues the money side of solo work — as essays, because the how-tos already live on the main site as guides and this blog does not compete with them. Pricing & Rates takes the rate itself apart — what it has to carry before any of it is pay. Clients covers briefs, scope and the working relationship.

How posts are written and checked

Every post is written by the WorkKitly editorial desk — there is no invented author, no borrowed byline and no stock life story. Before a post is published it is checked the way the tools are checked: titles and angles are compared against the guides and tools on the main sites so the blog never duplicates them; dates are the real dates; and any arithmetic is a worked example with its assumptions stated in the post, never dressed up as a study or a statistic. If something turns out to be wrong, the post is corrected and the correction is part of the record.

What this blog is not

  • Not a second guides library — comparisons and tested reviews stay on the main site.
  • Not a comment section — there is no comment box. Replies go to hello@workkitly.com and real ones get read.
  • Not a content farm — a category opens only when its first real post exists, and posts appear when there is something true to say.

The rest of the family

WorkKitly is the main site: the Get Paid Kit and the tested guides, described in full on its About page. WorkKitly Write is the Blog Writing Kit: ten free tools that run in your browser. This blog, at blog.workkitly.com, is where the two get talked about.
